Welcome to Belbroughton Primary School

Belbroughton School is a small Primary school, drawing its pupils from the village of Belbroughton and the surrounding area. It is a focal point for the village, being used by several local organisations.

The school is part of the Hagley Pyramid with children who live within the catchment area going on to Haybridge High School. The pyramid has undergone a review and has become two tier with Belbroughton becoming a Primary School taking pupils up to age eleven. The children will then go directly to the Haybridge High School.
At present there are 150 pupils aged between 4+ and 11+. There are 7 classes, one per year group, although the older children are grouped differently for music, history, geography and RE.
There are eight teaching areas (including the nursery - see below), a large hall/gym and a new library.
The new, purpose-built Nursery is shared by the private "First Steps" Nursery. The School Club provides "wrap around" care from 8am to 5pm, using the Nursery room in the morning and the Recreation Centre after school. Outside the school there is a playground, a large playing field, a Conservation Area and a Quiet Area. There is an "outdoor classroom" consisting of a large pond, a paved picnic area and a wild flower "meadow".

The grounds have now been updated. We have a large area including 260 developing trees, which each pupil in the school helped to plant. A superb amphitheatre nestles at the far end of the mounds which children can sit in and listen to nature's music. A purpose built wood and log shelter that is used as an outdoor classroom and for parents to shelter from the rain (or sun, if we get any!).

Mr Green, from Bishops Wood spent a day with the children making willow chairs and log stools to put in the conservation area. This is now a beautiful, peaceful place for teachers to read stories to children.
